Kurze Zusammenfassung:

SAP supports large global implementations with a single instance approach. All users can run all SAP Business Suite applications with many countries and languages across the whole world in a 24x7 operation in one system. While users in Australia start their work in the early morning of the following day, the users at the West Coast in USA just finish their work in the evening in the same system at the current day, and in Europe it is night time. Already simple applications face the time zone challenge if the involved business partners are in different time zones with even different date. This leads to the typical main questions:

- How can the various time zones be managed?

- How can global business processes be implemented across various time zones?

- How can a global implementation be supported across the globe with 24x7?

The presentation will discuss these questions and present solutions, recommendations and best practices for a global implementation. It explains the SAP time zone architecture in SAP Business Suite applications, customizing and configuration issues and selected time zone relevant applications. Important aspects on the ongoing maintenance and support of a global implementation complete the presentation.
